Safety wire - header bolts & external oil line bolts?

Hi all,

For the headers, I think I have my answer from a post from last year over on the official board but just wanted to confirm that they do NOT need to be safety-wired. True? Also, how about the external oil line bolts on the front of the motor? I THINK the rulebook says anything with liquid behind it (or something to that effect), but just wanted to be sure about this as well since I'll have to drain the oil to get it done.

BTW, it's an FZR400.

Wired mine on my fzr400. Can't hurt. Header bolts came off on my nc35 last race that I didn't wire. Coulda lost the pipe. Welcome Brandon - good to see yet another lightweight bike out there. Come by and say hi. #82 nsr250 and nc35. Cheers

Hey Brian!

Thanks for the reply. I think for this time around at least, I'll just goop some ATV on the header studs and hope for the best. I DO need to get the oil line bolts done in the next day or so. On top of that, I'm trying to get my trailer ready. It never ends! LOL! I'll look for ya'! BTW, I'll be pitting with / near Mark Duncan (#525) so if you find me before I find you, just give a holla!
